Short Biography

Dr. Gulbuse Turan is a dedicated researcher in the dynamic field of Vaccinology. Having completed her medical training in Turkey, she served as a clinician during the COVID-19 pandemic before embarking on her pursuit of a DPhil in Clinical Medicine at Oxford University. Her research is centered on the development of innovative Virus-Like Particle vaccines to combat Plasmodium falciparum malaria, with the overarching aim of enhancing the health and well-being of populations in affected regions. As a highly motivated doctoral candidate with a profound interest in adjuvants and their mechanisms, she is devoted to making a meaningful contribution to global health. Outside of her laboratory endeavours, she enjoys exploring the architectural marvels of Oxford and indulging in culinary exploration.
