Grace Hood

DPhil in Clinical Medicine

Grace is an Australian veterinarian reading for a DPhil in Clinical Medicine, supervised by Professor Peter Simmonds and Professor Miles Carroll. Her background is in infectious disease epidemiology and she received her Masters of Public Health from Columbia University in the City of New York. She is interested in emerging infectious diseases and is currently investigating the seroepidemiology of emerging arboviruses (including West Nile virus and Usutu virus) with a focus on novel diagnostic development.
