A winning design

On Thursday the 30th of January, Professor Sir Peter Ratcliffe announced the winner of the NDM Design a T-shirt Competition, at the Department's outreach Lunchtime Taster Session.

The winning design, which will be printed onto a series of t-shirts for volunteers to wear at upcoming outreach events, came from multi-talented DPhil student and NDM Prize Student Zoë Wallace.

Originally from Colorado in the United States, Zoë moved to Oxford last year to take part in the University's MSc Integrated Immunology programme. She is now studying her DPhil in Clinical Medicine in Dr Lucy Dorrell's group at the NDMRB, where she is researching HIV. Zoë also attends Keble College.

For her winning design (pictured below) Zoë received £400 toward a tablet of her choice.

Darren Nash, Associate Head of Department (Academic, Support and Finance), presented Zoë with her iPad prize.
