Add a new page
How do I add a New Page?
Overview
In Haiku, there are two types of pages, a web page, and a cover page.
Web Page
This is a standard web page with a default layout that cannot be altered.
To add a new web page:
- Click on the 'Add New' drop-down menu (top right corner)
- Click on 'Web Page'
- Give your page a meaningful 'Title'
- Add some Text to the 'Text' section
- Click on 'Save' (bottom of the page)
- Once you are happy with your page and ready for it to go live, click on 'State' (in the top right corner) and then 'Publish' (this makes it visible to all users)
Cover Page
A cover page allows you to design the layout of the page and add additional content types such as a Twitter feed.
To add a new cover page:
- Click on the 'Add New' drop down menu (top right corner)
- Click on 'Cover Page'
- Give your page a meaningful 'Title'
- Click on the 'Save' button
- Click 'Layout' (top left corner)
- A box titled 'Drag and Drop Tiles' should appear to the left of the page, while the right contains a blank page. Drag the tile titled 'Row' (in the Drag and Drop Tiles box) and drop this in the blank part of the page. You can drag and drop as many rows as required.
- The cover page allows you to divide your page into columns by dragging the 'column' tile (from the left) and dropping this in the row, created in step 6. You can drag and drop in multiple columns. The width of the row is divided into 12 units. This means that you can resize the columns depending on your preference by clicking on the arrows which appear on the individual column tiles.
- Once you are happy with the rows and columns, you can then start to drag and drop in 'content tiles' e.g. rich text tile which allows you to add normal text and a carousel which is a rotating banner etc.
Note: Always make sure you are logged in before attempting to make any changes to Haiku.
