Administering grants
Direct your browser to: http://tools.ndm.ox.ac.uk/otter/<instance name>/admin/grants
or click the Grants menu option from any admin screen.
Adding a grant
- Click the 'Add grant' link
- Add the details of the new grant
- Click the green plus icon.
Viewing a grant's details
On the Grants page, click on the grant reference in the Reference column:
- The grant's core details are shown at the top of the page
- Beneath is a list of activities specific to this grant
- Beneath this is a list of the employees who have been granted reviewal privilege for this grant, followed by the employees who have been granted approval privilege for this grant
- At the bottom of the page the employment periods for this grant are shown.
Editing a grant's details
On the Grants page, click on the Grant reference in the Reference column:
- Alter the grant's details
- Click the 'Update grant details' button.
Note: Altering a grant's start and end dates will affect employment periods that now fall outside of the new dates and could result in the deletion of timesheets.
Adding and removing grant-related activities
On the Grants page, click on the Grant reference in the Reference column.
New grant-specific activities can be added at the bottom of the table listing the current 'Activities for this grant'
- Enter a new Activity Name
- Choose if this activity is deemed to be productive or not
- Click the green plus icon.
Delete an activity by clicking on the appropriate red minus icon.
To change the productivity of an existing activity tick/untick the box relating to the productivity of the activity you are concerned with and hit the appropriate pencil icon to commit the changes.
Note: You cannot delete an activity that has already been used on a timesheet.
