MORU is collaborating with Bangkok-based B-floor Theatre to develop and produce a performance with the theme of antimicrobial resistance with a specific focus on the ethics of research with children. Through a 6-month research residency at MORU, the group will produce a series of 40-45 minute puppet theatre performances at the Bangkok Theatre Festival and elsewhere in Thailand.

fishy-cloudsPart of MORU's Public Engagement activities to make science more accessible to a wider public including children and young people, Fishy Clouds will focus on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and research with children. Current show dates are:

 

  • 7pm, 29-30 Oct and 12-13 Nov, the Bangkok Theatre Festival, Center Stage, Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre (BTS National Stadium)
  • 18 Nov, as part of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Week activities in Bangkok (time and venue TBA)
  • 7 Dec, at the opening ceremony of the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting (JITMM), Bangkok)
  • 12-14 Dec, in Mae Sot, as part of SMRU’s 30th anniversary celebration. (Wattana Resort on 12 Dec; Whang Pha on 13 Dec, Maw Ker Tai on 14 Dec. All times TBA)

All shows are free and open to the public except for the JITMM show, which is by invitation only. Please bring your friends and family, Fishy Clouds is suitable for all!
