Young Scientists of the Year 2015
We again partnered with Science Oxford to recognize the achievements of the Oxfordshire best Year 13 science students, in a award ceremony at the Oxford Museum of Natural History on 15th October 2015. Professor Sir Peter Ratcliffe was the keynote speaker at this event, where awards were given out for the Young Physicist, Young Chemist and Young Biologist of the year 2015.
We received great feedback from schools attending the event, and we encourage schools to nominate their best science students for next year's awards.
For this year's awards, schools could nominate up to three students, one each for physics, chemistry and biology. The criteria for selecting students was entirely up to the schools: it could be based on A/S results, progress made during the student’s A Level course (or equivalent) or in recognition of their enthusiasm and commitment.
On the day, the students and their families also received information about careers in science.
