Careers advice for postgraduates
The University Careers Service support postgraduate students on the various NDM sites. Postgraduate students have the opportunity to make 30-45 minute appointments that can be used for exploring career options, getting guidance in making decisions, improving CVs, cover letters and applications, preparing for and practising interviews and addressing any other career-related needs.
The Careers Service holds monthly advice sessions for DPhil students and researchers on the Old Road Campus. The schedule is available via the link below. The location will alternate each month between the WTCHG (Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics) and ORCRB (Old Road Campus Research Building). Each appointment will last for 30 minutes (between 1pm and 5pm). Appointments will need to be pre-booked through the Careers Service on 01865 274646. When booking, please mention that you would like to book an ORC/WT session.
Please note that for students based at other sites, similar sessions are available in other locations, such as the JR and Churchill hospitals. Students in overseas units can also access careers services advice via phone/Skype appointments.
