This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioethics and Social Science to join our team within the Bioethics and Engagement department in Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) within Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health. The department conducts ethics and engagement research as well as provides ethics support to clinical research studies throughout the MORU network. As the Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioethics and Social Science, you will work on ethics projects related to the scientific research that MORU undertakes. In the first instance, you will conduct qualitative studies on ethical issues around antimalarial resistance and malaria human challenge studies.
You will have a doctorate in the social sciences, law, bioethics or biomedical sciences and experience in conducting and analysing qualitative research. You will have practice in publishing in ethics or social science in English language journals. It is essential that you have the ability to spend short periods of time in Thailand. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing is a must.
This position is available on a full-time basis for 2 years in the first instance.
