We are looking to appoint for a Grants Assistant to join the administration office of the Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Information and Discovery which incorporates two related research institutes, NDM Research Building and Big Data Institute, at the heart of Oxford University's major biomedical campus in Headington.
You will assist the Senior Grants Officer and Business Manager in the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the research administration section of the administration team, providing guidance to researchers to ensure a high quality service is delivered to the Institutes.
You will have good organisational and interpersonal skills to ensure the centre’s research grant applications and awards are managed and prioritised so that targets and deadlines are met.
You will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and must have strong numeracy skills and previous experience in a similar role involving financial administration and be highly organised. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload under pressure. Previous knowledge of research grants and contracts is desirable but not essential.
The post is full-time and fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance.
