These workshops will provide information on the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant, and hints and tips for proposal writing and are open only to members of the University of Oxford. They are aimed at prospective applicants (both for the 2014 call and for calls in future years), research facilitators/administrators (and other staff supporting a potential application).
Advanced Grants are intended to support excellent Principal Investigators who are already established research leaders with a recognised track record of research achievements. The ERC's funding schemes operate on a 'bottom-up' basis without predetermined priorities, so applications can be made in any field of research. Advanced Grant proposals must be ground breaking and ambitious. The PI must commit at least 30% of their time to the grant. Funding is for up to €2.5m or €3.5m over a period of up to five years.
We strongly recommend that you register for the session that you wish to attend as soon as possible and at least 3 days before the relevant date by completing the Doodle poll. Registration deadline is 4th July.
