A large delegation of Mexican university rectors and other representatives from ANUIES, the Mexican National Universities Association, visited the UK in June as part of the Mexico-UK Dual Year 2015.

Arturo with Oxford's vice chancellor, Andrew Hamilton in June, 2015Part of the delegation came to Oxford to explore potential areas of collaboration. ANUIES have identified six areas of interest, some of which were discussed during their time in Oxford:





•             Oil, Gas and Low Carbon

•             Αgri-business and Food Science

•             Environmental and Marine Sciences

•             Global Health

•             Social Sciences, Political Science, Social and Urban Development

•             Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering

At the meeting organised by the International Strategy Office, Darren Nash and Arturo Reyes Sandoval welcomed the Mexican delegation with a brief presentation on our existing NDM collaborations in Mexico and discussed possibilities for collaboration in the near future. The discussion, which took place in Wellington Square, was followed by lunch kindly hosted by Laurence Whitehead at Nuffield College.
