\n \n \n \nThe Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has signed a seven-year memorandum of agreement with the Wellcome Trust and the University of Oxford. Under this collaboration, Wellcome has awarded \u00a391 million (KES 15 billion) to support research over the next seven years. KEMRI have been collaborating with the Wellcome Trust and the University of Oxford on improving health through research for over 35 years.

The Oxford Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance, hosted by the Nuffield Department of Medicine since 2014, is one of 13 HPRUs funded by NIHR as part of an \u00a380 million funding boost.

\n \n \n \nNDM\u2019s Centre for Medicines Discovery and BPGbio, a leading biology-first, AI-powered, clinical stage biopharma focused on mitochondrial biology and protein homeostasis, today announced a five-year research collaboration focused on advancing novel protein degradation technologies, particularly in oncology and central nervous system diseases, with the goal of unlocking new therapeutic pathways for conditions with limited treatment options. The organisations will work in phases, starting with the validation of BPGbio\u2019s novel E2 TPD technology, and expanding to the degradable target space.
