The urologists involved in the management of kidney stone disease aim to provide the highest quality care for patients with kidney stones.
The urology department is based at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. Originally an American Army Hospital built in the early 1940s, the Churchill Hospital has been through a period of major investment in its infrastructure. Urological surgery is performed in a new theatre complex and lithotripsy is performed on a new fixed-site lithotripter in the radiology department.
The urologists work closely with the other members of the clinical team. The team meet weekly to discuss clinical cases in a multidisciplinary setting.
