Oxford scientist Skirmantas Kriaucionis awarded prize from Lithuania 

Skirmantas KriaucionisThe international scientific and educational cooperation, Lithuania and Science (MES) will award this year, three foreign Lithuanians.

Vilius Lenertas; a chemist from Germany, Skirmantas Kriaucionis; a biochemist from the United Kingdom and Romualdas Kriauciunas; a psychologist from the US.

According to the Ministry of Education, the prize is to encourage Lithuanian scientists working outside Lithuania to be ambassadors and represent the country.

Oxford University, Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research UK specialist in biochemistry S. Kriaucionis is awarded for discoveries in DNA research and collaborative links with the Lithuanian Biotechnology.
