The Ebola outbreak in West Africa has rapidly become the deadliest since the discovery of the virus. Professors Peter Horby and Adrian Hill are calling on G7 leaders to support a global research and development effort to prepare for the next outbreak of a major disease like Ebola.

Professor Hill also appeared on the BBC World Service (interview starts at 1 min 40 seconds), discussing how a vaccine development plan could allow much quicker responses to future disease outbreaks.

We recently filmed NDM researchers who have recently returned from Sierra Leone demonstrating how to put on and take off personal protective equipment when dealing with Ebola: watch our video.
