Manuel Rivas
We've asked Manuel Rivas from Nicaragua and the United States why he decided to do a DPhil project in the Nuffield Department of Medicine. He also talks about his research and his experience living in Oxford.
Manuel Rivas, from Nicaragua, joined Oxford in 2010, after completing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics at MIT.
Manuel completed a DPhil titled Medical Relevance and Functional Consequences of Protein Truncating Variants in 2014, under the supervision of Prof. Peter Donnelly and Prof. Mark McCarthy. Read about his research published in the journal Science.
