University Employees

University employees can apply for admission to the graduate school if they meet the admission criteria and have the support of their supervisor.  Applicants must be interviewed by 2 independent senior members of the university who will report to the Director of Graduate Studies. This route of entry is considered exceptional and the NDM will only support applications from employees who have worked for at least one year in the department. These students are encouraged to enter the competition for the fully funded NDM Prize Studentships. They may also qualify for scholarship equivalent to a 50% reduction in fees if they remain in university employment, but this is not guaranteed. Applicants should complete the form for courses within the department from the Oxford Learning Institute once they have received their offer of an award and forward it to graduate.studies@ndm.ox.ac.uk.

Clinically qualified students who obtain independent funding from the research councils or charities, may also be employees for the duration of their studentships and are liable for fees. The NDM will usually award these students a scholarship equivalent to the 50% reduction of fees. Applicants should complete the form for courses within the department from the Oxford Learning Institute once they have received their offer of an award and forward it to graduate.studies@ndm.ox.ac.uk.
