Welcome Event for Research Staff

Friday 28 February, 9.15am-12.30pm, Richard Doll Building, Old Road Campus

Booking is now open for this term’s Welcome Event for Research Staff. Whilst the event is primarily aimed at new starters, researchers who have been here a while but who may not be aware of the support available across the University are very welcome. In particular current researcher staff may be interested in coming along to the information fair only (11.45am-12.30pm), which they are welcome to do.

The Event

The event is an opportunity for you to find out about career and professional development opportunities, the services and support available for you throughout your time as a researcher here at Oxford, and to meet other new researchers over coffee and pastries.

The morning will comprise: a series of short talks from some of the University’s central providers of training and support, giving you an introduction to what they offer; the opportunity to talk informally to other new researchers; and an information fair allowing you to browse resources and talk to colleagues from departments across the University that provide support for research staff.

Advance booking is required; please register via the Oxford Learning Institute by midday on Monday 24 February.
