A team of senior administrators manages the day-to-day running of the Centre.
The research of the Centre is overseen by an International Scientific Advisory Board.
Researchers at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics have been pioneers in genetic discovery, leading the ‘genetic revolution’ in an age where there has been an explosion of knowledge in traits in humans. Since it’s inception they have been leaders in both Genetic Discovery as well as Statistical Genetics, through a range of projects. This includes the WGS 500 project which provided the model for large scale gene mapping projects, expertise in Obesity and Diabetes, as well as key translational work in developing tools to interpret and make use of genomic data. As genomic data revolutionises the way medicine is done, the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics remains is poised to be at the forefront of the field.
