Bernd Taschler

Senior Postdoctoral Researcher

My areas of interest include neuroimaging statistics (esp. population level modelling of high-dimensional data), causality, normative models, advanced ML, and Bayesian inference.

I joined the Big Data Institute and the Oxford-Novartis collaboration for AI in medicine in 2023. My current research focus is on normative disease trajectories and modelling of progression in MS using a large-scale database of clinical trials.

Prior to this, I was part of FMRIB's Analysis group and a postdoc at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). I hold a PhD in neuroimaging statistics from the University of Warwick and an MSc in theoretical physics from TU Graz, Austria.
