We are searching for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to develop and enhance experimental tumour models, with a focus on state-of-the-art organoid and syngeneic models. The successful applicant will develop and optimise state-of-the art orthotopic xenograft models in the bowel to generate a robust and reproducible platform of human and mouse syngeneic xenograft models. Our aim is to identify novel insights into cancer initiation and develop new cancer therapeutic strategies.

The successful candidate will hold or be close to completing a PhD in molecular/cell biology or other relevant subject. Experience of cell culture and a personal home office license (or equivalent) is essential, experience of xenograft work and/or orthotopic tumour models would be advantageous.

The postholder will be based at the University of Oxford’s Old Road Campus working closely with the groups of Professor Simon Leedham at the Wellcome Trust Centre and Professor Xin Lu at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
