CPAP usage, often referred to as CPAP adherence, is important in ensuring patient benefit from therapy. Whilst absolute thresholds of use of CPAP are arbitrary, there are several strategies to help patients increase their CPAP adherence to try to enable better outcomes from therapy. Education, eHealth, motivational therapies, behavioural therapies and telemonitoring can all increase average CPAP usage. In addition to improving CPAP adherence, education and support can help patients to resolve technical issues and improve patient comfort.
