PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Gloria has worked in clinical medicine, public health and international development. She has a four-year of experience working for the UK government as a Health Adviser for the Department for International Development (DFID) and later the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). She led the Tanzanian health and nutrition portfolio, which focused on stunting reduction and early childhood development, reproductive and maternal health, global health security and health system strengthening activities. She also supported other DFID offices in Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Nepal. Before that, she worked for a year as a Medical Doctor and Regional Coordinator for the Neglected Tropical Diseases Control Programme in Tanzania.
