Salem is a DPhil student at the Jenner Institute, supervised by Helen McShane (Tuberculosis Group) and Nicola Ternette (Antigen Discovery Group). His research is about using immunopeptidomics and immunoinformatics to identify and prioritize novel mycobacterial antigens to develop subunit vaccines for tuberculosis.
