Further information

Dr Bill Frankland (1912-2020) was a pioneering immunologist and clinical allergist, receiving an MBE for allergy research at the age of 103. He studied Physiological Sciences as an undergraduate at The Queen’s College from 1930 and was elected an Honorary Fellow in 2012. Wanting to support the next generation of researchers, Dr Frankland set up the Frankland Studentship Fund to sponsor medical science DPhil students. Dr Frankland left a legacy gift to fund this Frankland Prize Studentship which honours his life-time achievements.
